| Westbound on the stick rail of track 1, empty hoppers rattle on by. This 25-mile stretch of CTC-controlled 2MT on the Watertown sub features welded rail the entire length of Main 2, making it the preferred routing for most traffic. However from time to time Main 1 will get a westbound like in the days of the current-of-traffic rules, and the clickity clack of the jointed rail brings back aural memories especially with empty cars. |
