| Over the weekend of 14/15 November, construction work on the N1 freeway bridge over the railway between Centurion and Irene stations, necessitated the overhead power supply being shut off. Class 34 and 35 diesels were brought in to haul trains through the dead section between Pretoria and Irene. Class 34-200 no. 34-240 is working Metrorail train 0611 to Pretoria, seen here dropping down the grade from Fountains. |
