| Veteran Valley Railroad Engineer Bruce hangs the first of a pair of kerosene-burning classification lamps as he prepares to take a special B-section of the railroad's "North Pole Express" from Essex to Deep River Landing. His ride tonight is his favorite engine, Consolidation #97, fired up specifically for this trip. For the first time in recent years, both of the Valley's steamers will be out working the line this night. |
