Metrorail operates an upmarket express commuter service between Pretoria (Tshwane) and Johannesburg, known as the Tshwane Business Express (TBE). Ageing class 5M2A EMU stock was remanufactured by Transnet Rail Engineering into two new 10M5 trainsets for the TBE. Set TBE2 is leaving Irene, heading for Pretoria as train 1609, the return working of 1602. The train is crossing over from the Down Main to the Up Main to make its scheduled stop at the next station, Centurion.
