| WC's start up was anything but simple, power was in short supply from day one forcing the new RR to borrow power from anyone who could spare it. Soo was happy to let WC keep a number of GP9's and Ex Milw. GP20's for quite awhile, also CR leased WC a few GP35's and WC even borrowed a couple Alco's from GB&W. Trains pretty much ran anytime a crew was available so I was fortunate to be in the right place at the right time to get some real early WC action as the road struggled through its first winter. CR 2277, leads WC 6532 and Soo 412 east with 42 cars at MP447. |
