The first westbound intermodal to the newly redesignated intermodal only Brooklyn Yard heads through the Columbia Gorge enroute to the old Southern Pacific yard in Portland. The East-West intermodal traffic had been handled at the UP's Albina yard until its ramps were closed and all Union Pacific intermodal traffic in Portland, except the Northwest Container Service at Barnes, moved to Brooklyn.
