Soo 740 is on old home ground as it sits on the lead of WC train #34 waiting to clear customs. Earlier in the day 740 and the trailing 6616 had powered a Chicago-Soo Yard detour train. Now with no westbound detour in sight its taking the quickest way home, powering the next WC train leaving Soo yard. Consist includes 740,6616,DMIR 170,WC 6504,590 and 81 cars. The DMIR SD is paying back hp hours to WC and the trailing green SD45 is still waiting for a coat of fresh WC paint.
