| Nevada Northern's ex Southern Pacific SD9 hauls a local freight southbound through the Robinson Canyon in a light snow shower. The equipment depicted in this photo represents a rather wide interval in the history of the Nevada Northern Railway. The wooden boxcars are original to the railroad and date back to 1912. The locomotive on the other hand, is one of the newest pieces of equipment on the line, coming to the railroad in the mid-1990s after a 40 year career with Southern Pacific. |
