The 52-car Sunday extra salt train is backing across the Connecticut River to meet an awaiting NECR set of power, which will take the train north on the New England Central. VRS power is VTR GP40-3 312, GMRC GP40 302, CLP GP40-2 306, VTR GP40-2W 311 and GMRC GP40 305.
