| The bitter end. After a gypsum mine collapsed under a long stretch of the branch it was forever isolated. The FGE reefers long stored there were scrapped except for a couple converted to rudimentary passenger haulers. The train ran for holidays occasionally and was in no way regulation. Eventually No. 1 and the cars were scrapped and the line is now gone. A caboose & two steams are on display. |
