| Just about every winter during the 70's Soo was in the market for leased power. Mostly they turned to their ore hauling neighbors. DM&IR SD9's and LS&I U23C's or U25C's spent quite a few winters roaming the Soo. On this bone chilling day in Feb. of 78 two LS&I U23C's, the 2302,2304 are awaiting the return of the Chief Wawatum so they can start building their train and then head for Marquette. |
