| The Southwest Chief is backing through the wash rack. See 317108 for a full length view of the train going through. The ever elusive SW1000R, AMTK 790 can be seen in the background. See 317982 for a close-up side view. Tuesday was the first 50 degree day in Chicago since Dec 1. The 97 day stretch of sub-50 degree readings was the longest in 31 years. This day's high temp was to be the warmest since Nov 14. But as this is spring in the midwest, an inch of snow was coming on the first day of spring, March 20! |
