| The sky breaks for a couple of hours before another wave of snow hits during one of the worst blizzards of the year for the upper midwest. The sun shines over the BNSF local that is out of La Crosse and has just finished spotting some grain cars in Cochrane and is now on their way quickly north to a sand loading mine in Maiden Rock. One of two smoke stacks can be seen looming in the background are from the Dairyland Power Cooperative's coal fired powerplant along the Mississippi River in Alma. This plant also receives coal shipments from the Powder River Basin via BNSF. |
