    Remarks & Notes
The undeniable eclectic charm that turns many of us into shortline fans makes the AC&W yard at Star a must see location. Once a junction on the old NS, the little yard is now home to a great mix of equipment from rusted out old circus cars and GP's to a pristine dinner train. The depot serves as the RR office now, as do a caboose and coach which have lost their wheels. Just outside the one stall shop, GP40-2LW 703 and her one-time sister CN unit (recently converted to Slug 704 by the AC&W shop crew) bask in the sun displaying the line's beautiful new paint.
