STREET RUNNING! NYS&W UT-1 heads north along Schuyler Street in Utica. The roughly one-half mile of street running in this city has been a treat to witness for many years. Gone are the days of NYS&W Alcos pulling dome-observation cars up and down this scenic line; however, one can still catch the lone GP40 assigned to Utica doing the occasional honors. Major customers on the Utica line include Smurfit-Stone Container in New Hartford and grain elevators in Sangerfield. Here, the locomotive is seen running light (away from the photographer) as it heads back to Utica after dropping cars.
This album seeks to portray classic New England and Upstate New York imagery. It showcases the most perfect examples of regional identity, with special attention to structures and landscape.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
