| This shot is in contrast to my other upload today. Still August and still the Settle and Carlisle line this time LNER A4 pacific No 60009 Union of South Africa is on the northbound climb approaching Dent Station. The conditions were terrible bitterly cold wind blown drizzle with little visibility and me totally soaked through. Running 2 hours late she eventually emerged working hard from the grey gloom. 1000 feet below the sun was shining on a warm August afternoon. |
