| I was taking pictures of the Witbank Collieries steam locomotives when this steam dinosaur came along. I believe that it is a Dubs class A ex SAR locomotive that has been built around 1888. I also believe that it belonged at that time to the Electricity Supply Commision (ESCOM). Any additional information from the South African RP.net members or contributors concerning this locomotive would be warmly appreciated. It was hauling a freshly overhauled blue GMAM Garratt (see photo 328531). |
