| A UP ballast train heads east through Utah's Tooele Valley approaching the west switch Erda siding. This 38 car Milford to Ogden bulk train was loaded at Murdock on UP's Lynndyl Subdivision. This perspective illustrates effectively the cancer of the land...urban sprawl with 'McMansions' gobbling up the pristine open space that once characterized Tooele Valley. In another decade this vast area will likely evolve to become another suburb of the greater Salt Lake metro area. |
