| DMIR 861 arrives at Trout Lake after making a Newberry turn on a bright February afternoon. DMIR units were common on WC paying back HP hours and also on winter time ore trains from Steelton to Escanaba. Generally hi hood SD9's were assigned as the HP units and SD38 types made the trip from Steelton to Escanaba. In this case though 861 has wandered far into Eastern Upper Michigan and has spent some time on the ex DSS&A line out of Trout Lake. |
