      Remarks & Notes
Hoping to catch the BB in action in the original 18 mile line from Dillwyn to Bremo Bluff, we arrived only to find two immaculate Geeps parked with the next day's train but no work to do. BB 1 is ex-L&N built 1951, and Old Dominion NRHS's ex-RF&P 101 was built in 1953. Both have been repainted (plus BB1 was chop-nosed) since they were caught looking rather ragged in 2006 in photo id 146723. The BB has quite a force in VA these days with three separate lines.

The "BB" was founded in 1988 and ran its first train on March 6, 1989. The BB has grown from 17 miles of track and two employees to 275 miles and 75 employees, spanning over Virginia in three separate divisions.
