I managed to catch my second UP customer special in just over a week's time. On this move, UP 8615 and UP 5328 lead 40 PTTX flat cars originating at Elko, Nevada east and south to Mantu, Texas. This train was routed via the Overland Route to Speer, Wyoming, south along the Front Range to Denver, east via the old Kansas Pacific to Wichita, south through Chickasha, Oklahoma, Fort Worth, and Houston, arriving at it's final destination of Mantu, Texas. This 3798 foot, 1654 ton customer special probably had little trouble maintaing track speed along the way!
