| The Iowa Northern was power short around 1999-2000. They borrowed alot of different power from other railroads and lease companies to make it thru hard times. Here the North Crew rolls north with 2 Amtrak F40's and an IANR GP20 for power. Never though I would see passenger units in shortline freight service, but that was just the beginning, since Iowa Northern uses CDAC F40's now in 2010 for their locals. |
