| Union Pacific's Evanston Local is captured heading east through Weber Canyon at Taggarts, Utah. The LUJ51's crew was assigned to pick up ten loads of cement at Devil's Slide, set out seven covered hoppers at Echo and four tank cars at Wyuta (just west of Evanston). Veteran UP SD40-2 #3212 was acquired brand new from EMD back in April of 1973. It looked right at home traveling upgrade along the historic Overland Route toward Big Wonderful Wyoming. |
