| No Longer Worth Stopping. While Lawrence was once a large industrial center, its glory days are long gone and today the city no longer even merits an Amtrak stop, evidenced by Boston-bound 696 rolling right through. In the far background can be seen the textile mills whose rise and fall was mirrored by that of the city. |
