Remarks & Notes

A well powered Denver to Salt Lake manifest curves through the Jordan Narrows just west of Mesa. The fourth unit out, SD40T-2 #2934, was built the D&RGW 5411 by EMD in 1980. It had been purchased at a Denver auction by the Southern Utah Railroad and was in the process of being shipped to Iron Springs near Cedar City, Utah to transport iron ore.
