| Union Pacific's St. John Local heads west to pick up it's train tied down on the passing siding at Lake Point, Utah. Sadly, the UP is replacing the old US&S searchlight signals along the former Los Angeles & Salt Lake route. It's only a matter of time before these classic sentinels are gone. In the background at left is Kennecott Copper's tailings pond featuring the KCC-UP interchange yard at CP C768 Center Garfield. |
