    Remarks & Notes
A gaggle of Canda geese seem disinterested in the passing train. Class 47 no. 47580 County of Essex is privately preserved. However, it is certified for main line use. We see it here being operated by West Coast Rly. Co. delivering privately preserved Class 37 no. 37 109 from the its base on the East Lancashire Railway to the Mid Norfolk Railway to attend a Gala to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the introduction of the Class. Further along its journey, the 47 collected about six other machines to take to the gala.
