| Sufficient clearance. Long ago, on the little siding of Risbeck, an elevator stood tall in the valley; loading grain from nearby farmers for export to far away nations. Little pieces of stick rail and charred wood are all that's left of a once busy grain stop. The line serving Risbeck will too disappear into the weeds and dust of the Palouse, as the last train rolls through the scruff. |
