| The HSB 99 7232 is undergoing some reparations in the Wernigerode Westerntor workshop. The locomotive has got a brand new smokebox. The profiles of the complete wheelset has also been turned. Please note that the third (middle) drive axle has no flange. The bearings of all the other drive axles can be moved axially by approximately 5 cm on each side. This is required so that these narrow gauge monsters can easily negociate the tight curves on the HSB system. Three other steamers were also present in the workshop that day. The 99 7238 and the Mallets 99 5902 and 99 5906. |
