| High above the river a loaded UP grain train from the CP connection at Eastport ID. starts the descent to the the Kootenai River crossing at Bonners Ferry. The grain originates on the Soo Line in Minnesota and North Dakota and moves in transit through Canada from Portal ND to Eastport ID on its way to export terminals in Portland Ore. |
