GMD-1 #1601 basks in the light from a gorgeous fall sunrise at Estlin, SK. The Lewvan sub was the last branch with 60lb rail that required the unique A-1-A truck locomotives. In less than six months, their use would no longer be required. Today, everything except the rail is gone with the elevator being demolished a few years ago.
