| Rare mainline leader service awaited a pair of aged Springfield Terminal GP9s on January 29, 2009, as ST 71 and 72 made a trip from Waterville to Bangor to retrieve the NMED train and move it back westbound. Train is seen rolling through a mild s-curve at Carmel. |
