| Mid-to-late January is traditionally the coldest time of the year in Minnesota and today lived up to that statistic. The reading at nearby Duluth International Airport was -24F with a windchill of -41F when I took this shot just after sunrise. When it gets this cold the visible plume from locomotives is more vapor than smoke. |
