Remarks & Notes

An extremely heavy B&O westbound manifest leaves a healthy plume of diesel exhaust as it slowly grinds upgrade west of Glencoe, PA on October 22, 1978. Fifth and sixth in the consist are two locomotives that were fairly unusual on Sand Patch, a C&O U30C and a C&O U23B.
