Smartly-painted #960 is a Milwaukee Road veteran (and past benefactor of a MILW rebuild program), while ratty-looking #1729 was built for the C&O, then worked for several coal companies before leaving Appalachia for central Massachusetts. Rounding out MCER's eclectic roster is ex-Southern NW5 #2100, tucked out of sight behind #960.
