Running east on the Milwaukee Road, the ex-SP GS-4 class 4-8-4 pulls the American Freedom Train on its leg between Sioux City, IA and Des Moines, IA. The train is about 40 miles from the Milwaukee's division point of Perry, IA and will make a crew change there as it transitions to the C&NW's former M&StL route into West Des Moines. There it will be on display for a week prior to heading west to Omaha, NE. Taken on Kodachrome 25 with 135mm Minolta lens.
