    Remarks & Notes
Little Train - Big Mountain! -This is a view looking railroad north out of baggage car 101 which is bringing up the rear on the three car pocket streamliner. This little train is making easy work of the 1.75% grade as it marches north toward Hurricane station. The massive southeastern bulwark of 20,320 ft Mt. McKinley rises directly in front of the train. The Aurora makes a 12 hr journey to Fairbanks every Saturday and returns each Sunday providing the only scheduled winter time passenger train service on the ARR. It is simply a delight to behold, and an experience 180 degrees different from the summer trains.
