| Arctic Moonrise - It's 30 degrees below zero and dropping on a Tuesday afternoon in Alaska's second largest city. The 2001 and GP40-2 3011 have just returned from a two day journey from Anchorage to Fairbanks and out the Airport Branch to measure clearances in advance of a double-stack railcar test. Two engineering employees can be seen in the background working up on the measurement platform which is second out behind the mill gon. Note: the photographer is a railroad employee with permission to be on the property and was wearing all required PPE while taking this photograph. |
