| Crew on SD40-2 NO.770 observes the charred remains of SD40-2 NO. 6600. Trains 909 and 910 had collided head on the previous day when 910 neglected to take a siding. Crews jumped before the collision on a curve. Engine 4408 had ridden onto the top of 6600, resulting in a fire from spilled diesel fuel. |
