| An eastbound freight behind 5379, 3041 and 5322 slides slowly into Minturn Yard to await the addition of helpers for the climb to Tennessee Pass in September 1981. During all my travels over the D&RGW at that time I rarely saw a train with containers directly on flat wagons, but as I was scanning this slide I noticed that a train of containers was sharing the yard with #148 - were they very common on the D&RGW back then? |
