| Allegheny Ludlum, after getting over 60 yrs of work out of the GE 44 tonners, is gettting new industrial switchers from Republic Locomotive. The days of the old GE's are numbered. Extra weight (about 16T) have been added to these units to improve tractive force. Here is old #17 pulling out freshly cast slabs from the melt shop. |
