| Sir William Stanier designed these locomotives for heavy freight work,although it was not unusual to see them on passenger duties.Here is preserved loco 48151 heading "The Fellsman" railtour from Lancaster to Carlisle.The train is seen here approaching Clitheroe station,in Lancashire,on a (rare) bright August day. |
