Groves of frosty trees greet BNSF Railway's Denver-Provo 'Q' train at 7440 ft. Soldier Summit. It's all downhill from here as the QDVPVJ has 50 miles of track and 3000 feet of elevation to descend prior to a late morning arrival at Utah Railway's yard at Provo.
