| Simply Seattle - The rear DPU on a heavy loaded westbound grain train arriving from the south crawls across Broad Street near the site of old North Portal Tower down on Seattle's waterfront. The train is diverging off the former GN Main into the grain export terminal yard south of Interbay. Four blocks away can be seen the iconic and futuristic (for 1961) Space Needle rising 605 ft from street level. |
