| Rainy Day Railfanning - In my first visit to the Trinidad Hill area and the Columbia River Sub I was expecting dry and hot. Strangely, I had better weather up in the Cascades on the Scenic Sub! Here a hot eastbound Z train for Chicago curls along the roaring Columbia River passing the 1930 Rock Island Dam one of many hydroelectric projects on the great waterway. This important train consists of almost all 53 ft domestic containers of belonging to BNSF partners JB Hunt or Schneider National. |
