| This is Southern Pacific territory and way off the beaten path for recently formed BNSF Railway to be operating a train as ATSF 2755 South rolls through Corona, NM en-route to El Paso. At the time of this photo this train was exercising trackage rights as a condition of the UP-SP merger and operated between Clovis and El Paso if I remember correctly. The nostalgic blue & silver rectangular object in the center foreground of the picture is a phone booth. "Daddy, what's a phone booth?" |
