      Remarks & Notes
      Seaboard System
With the merger of the Seaboard Coast Line with the L&N and all the other railroads that made up the Family Lines System complete on December 1982, the Seaboard System was officially opened for business on January 1st 1983. To help shippers avoid confusion with the newly created railroad, the stylized double “S” logo used the same colors as seen on the Family Lines locomotives albeit with the colors inverted to yellow over red and a darker shade of gray base coat applied as well.
