| Metre gauge 0-8-2T rack loco 37387 was built by SLM in switzerland in 1920. Similar engines were built right up to 1952! Here it pushes the daily train from Mettupalayam to Ooty out of Coonoor. This section is now (in 2011) diesel worked, but steam still handles the rack section from Mettupalayam to Coonoor. |
