On an overcast February morning in 1978, an A-B pair of EMD DD35s lead Union Pacific's Provo to Salt Lake City manifest under the University Avenue overpass in Provo, Utah. The wood structure at right is the old UP freight depot, demolished soon after this photo was taken. All of the foreground real estate is now a Utah Transit Authority commuter rail station, slated to open in 2013.
