| The loaded evening train from Barriles down to Tocopilla with GE boxcabs # 601 and 607 near a memorial for deceased. Update: The memorial commemorates the railway accident in November 2009 when a train from Maria Elena with diesel locomotive # 3 could not stop in Barriles and ran into the strong gradient direction Tocopilla. The train derailed at this point, the train driver was killed, the locomotive and several of the cars were badly damaged. |
